Dr. Zeshan Yousaf

Dr. Zeshan Yousaf is an Application Specialist within the Composites area at the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC), University of Manchester. His work at GEIC focuses on leveraging 2D materials to enhance the multifunctionality and lightweighting of textiles, polymer composites, metal matrix composites, and ceramics.
Dr. Yousaf earned his PhD in Materials Science from the University of Manchester in 2015. His doctoral research involved the development and characterization of novel lightweight glass/carbon fibre composites for automotive and aerospace applications. Following his PhD, he has collaborated on numerous research projects with industrial manufacturers and R&D organizations worldwide, developing ultra-lightweight composites for applications in aerospace, defence, marine, and other sectors. Prior to his PhD, he worked in R&D at a vertically integrated textile company for several years, developing textile structures for various applications.
