Loughborough Materials Characterisation Centre (LMCC) provides bespoke consultancy to industry. We also host an annual short course into electron microscopy and analytical techniques. Unfortunately this course will not take place in 2020 due to COVID-19. The good news is we are providing a free webinar series to provide a flavour of what the course offers! The short course has been specifically designed for delegates from industry. There is a very good balance between theory and hands on sessions. The course is particularly relevant to people working in materials science or related sectors who need a broad knowledge of the electron microscopy techniques available. The course covers a wide range of EM techniques which includes Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Focused Ion Beam Microscopy (FIB) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). The course also covers a wide range of analytical techniques from Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy to micro X-ray fluorescence (µXRF).
The webinars will also provide an overview of the capability available within LMCC. The centre is fully operational and is on-hand to support businesses with consultancy projects.
