An Interview with Levidian

We are delighted to announce our latest exhibitor spotlight interview with Levidian! Read on to find out more about their specialities, and their involvement in the show!

What advanced materials do you specialise in?

Levidian specialises in the sustainable production of high-quality graphene. Our graphene is a product of our patented LOOP system which cracks methane into hydrogen and carbon, which is locked into graphene produced from the atomic level up in a steady state process with minimal batch-to-batch variation. Levidian graphene is primarily offered as few layer non-functionalised graphene (Levidian G3). A dominated single layer non-functionalised graphene (Levidian G1) is also available.

Please explain the benefits of your speciality.

The key benefits of our graphene are threefold: it is sustainably produced, scalable, and of consistent quality. Through our deployed network of LOOPs around the world, Levidian will be able to produce large volumes of consistent material to give customers the opportunity to utilise graphene at scale. Using sustainable power, the graphene produced is also carbon negative.

Graphene can be used in a variety of applications such as composites, thermoplastics, and batteries. The material has the potential to increase the mechanical performance, material properties, and create longer-lasting, more sustainable products through both end-product and process improvement.

Are there any exciting developments happening within the industry or your company that you can share with us?

The graphene industry is growing and innovating, with companies identifying solutions that the graphene family of materials can offer across a vast range of industries. Our own activities have identified significant improvements in characteristics like compressive strength and early cure in mortars and mechanical enhancement in thermoplastics.

Levidian has recently successfully passed a rigorous evaluation to achieve the official Verified Graphene Producer® designation from The Graphene Council, recognising our excellence in producing graphene using our patented LOOP system. We are very aware of the importance of producing a consistent, high-quality product that our customers can rely on. Becoming a Verified Graphene Producer has been an excellent external validator of our production and quality control processes, giving our customers further confidence in the quality of graphene produced by LOOP, anywhere in the world.

If attendees should know one thing about your company, what would it be?

Decarbonisation is at the heart of everything we do. Our vision is to build a circular economy by converting greenhouse gases into innovative solutions and materials: graphene and hydrogen.

What will you be showcasing at your stand at The Advanced Materials Show?

Levidian will showcase how we can help industries to decarbonise via the Levidian LOOP and the application of graphene and hydrogen. We are particularly looking forward to talking to visitors about the range of applications in which graphene can be used to increase performance and sustainability. Graphene has become a hugely important additive for performance enablement of advanced materials. Now Levidian can offer on-site carbon production for our customers using LOOP technology, strengthening supply chain security for key manufacturing facilities, and meeting the major demand volumes in critical areas such as battery production.

What are you most looking forward to at The Advanced Materials Show?

We’re looking forward to engaging with show visitors to discuss their next generation material challenges, bringing to life our technology and products and demonstrating how we are able to support their innovation and sustainability goals.
