Radical Materials At The Advanced Materials Show 2021

Specialist research and development company Radical Materials Ltd has confirmed it will be exhibiting at this year’s Advanced Materials Show. Taking place on the 7th and 8th of July at the NEC Birmingham, Radical will be joining many other established brands such as 3M Advanced Materials and Hitachi High Tech in displaying the latest advanced material technology.

AMS is an important event for us and, having been rescheduled twice, we’re very much looking forward to exhibiting in July.” said Radical Materials Director, Nick Corlett. “It will be a great opportunity to showcase the products we’ve developed since the 2019 show and to catch up with some fellow exhibitors. Hopefully, the attendance will be good, but it should be an interesting and worthwhile two days regardless.”

Radical Materials was founded in 2003 as SteriTouch®, a technically focused antimicrobial specialist in a sector dominated by marketing companies. The company has now further expanded into other specialised materials including Konduct electrically & thermally conductive polymers, SCOPIC x-ray and metal detectable solutions for plastics used in the food processing sector and Freshfibres textile treatments & yarns. At this year’s show, Radical will be discussing its latest product developments, including; polyketone as a replacement for nylon, innovative odour control additives for fabrics, potential uses for carbon nanotube technology, and the seemingly limitless potential of graphene in the manufacturing industry.

Radical can be found exhibiting at stand 17-526 and welcomes all attendees to visit and learn more about their recent advancements in material technology.

About Radical Materials

The company was founded in 2003 as SteriTouch Ltd, a technically focused antimicrobial specialist in a sector dominated by marketing companies. SteriTouch® has since become one of the most recognised and respected antimicrobial brands, supplying materials globally and working with a broad range of clients such as World Dryer, Universal Electronics, Deflecto, Sennheiser, Addis Housewares, Rustoleum and Crown Paints.

Through continuous research, development and investment, the company has expanded its portfolio to include other specialised materials: Konduct thermally conductive polymer compounds and masterbatches; SCOPIC X-ray and metal detectable materials to reduce foreign body contaminants in food processing; freshfibers® fabric treatments & coatings and SteriType® workspace protection solutions, including antimicrobial keyboards, mice, keyboard covers & surface protection film.

In recognition of its increasingly diverse nature, in 2019 the company name was changed to Radical Materials Ltd, encompassing the existing SteriTouch®, Konduct, SCOPIC & SteriType® brands and ensuring scope for further expansion.

Radical is committed to being a fully integrated company, investing in the capabilities required to ensure every product delivers optimal performance and to deliver solutions when others have struggled. Radical is able to take a new product from initial concept, through product development, testing, validation and production entirely in-house, meaning even complex custom materials can be delivered within days, rather than months.
