Dr. Xuhui Yao

Dr Xuhui Yao is a Senior Scientist at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) working in the area of electrochemical energy storage. His work aims to explore viable means and develop characterisation tools for advancing battery development and supporting the industry. His primary research areas include battery metrology, high-energy cathode materials, lithium-metal anodes, and operando characterisation technologies. Xuhui is a committee member of the British Standards Institution (BSI) in the division of PEL/21, and a primary contact of the Global Battery Alliance (GBA). He has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers and received over 2,000 citations with an H-index of 21.
