Important Speaker Information 2024

Speaker Welcome

We are delighted to welcome you to the conference speaking faculty at the co-located events The Advanced Materials Show, The Advanced Ceramics Show, Battery Cells & Systems Expo and Vehicle Electrification Expo , 15th and 16th May 2024 at the NEC, Birmingham, UK.

This year’s conference agenda will take place on the show floor, allowing for wide interaction with our audience. We look forward to hosting you in Halls 3 and 3A at the NEC. 

We’d like to take this opportunity to wholeheartedly thank you for your involvement in these events. They simply couldn’t take place without your support; we hope you will agree that they are an invaluable, educational and enjoyable experience for all those involved.

The Top 4 Things You Need to Know and Begin to Action!

  1. If you are supporting your talk with a PowerPoint presentation file, it must be prepared in On-screen show 16:9 format/ratio (widescreen), NOT On-screen show 4:3. Apologies, but we don’t permit the use of PDF’s, keynote files or your own laptop
  2. Important Deadline 19th April 2024 (applicable to speakers using a presentation file only)
    • Submit your preliminary presentation file to conference@event-partners.com   for content and technical review
    • We will check your slides to ensure they address the topics/ points previously agreed with our Conference Director, Olivia Ryan-Hill (N.B. sales/ product pitches are not permitted)
    • Please submit your presentation file in both PPT and PDF formats (to allow us to check for corporate/ non-standard font use)
    • We will also check your slides to ensure they display/navigate correctly and that any video/ audio/ animations you have included works as intended
    • Please submit your presentation file in both PPT and PDF formats (to allow us to check for corporate/ non-standard font use)
  3. We will take care of your registration for the event – your badge will be emailed to you; we kindly ask you to print it prior to arrival, to fast-track your entry and to minimise queuing onsite. Alternatively, it can be made available to you from one of the badge collection counters in the entrances to Ha 3 and 3a at the NEC
  4. On the day of your speaking opportunity, you MUST visit the team in the Speaker Room (Suite of Offices near halls 3 and 3A Entrance) no less than 45 mins prior to the start of your session. We have multiple concurrent tracks, so want to make sure we can meet personally with all speakers well in advance.
