Dr. Tim Küsters works as a sales product manager for high temperature heat treatment system for Carbolite Gero. He is the application expert for debinding and sintering of oxide and non-oxide ceramics. He has six years of experience in carrying out projects with customers from the ceramic industry and research institutes. The main objective is to understand and optimize the debinding and sintering of ceramics based on specific sample / load properties and the heat treatment technology. His current role is closely related to his education as a mineralogist /geoscientist. He obtained a Ph.D degree from the Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany and did research as a visiting scientist at Leeds University, UK. The research focused on the experimental study of fluid-rock interactions and their numerical modelling. Before that, he finished his master’s thesis at the Ruhr University Bochum studying mineral-melt interactions and the effect on diffusion profiles in crystals.
